The DoE Scholars Program provides opportunities for college students and recent graduates to gain first-hand experience and training in the fields of science, engineering, technology, and related professions that support the mission of the DoE. These positions are typically short-term. The program offers scholars career possibilities, opportunities to learn from top scientists and subject matter experts, stipends of up to $650 per week depending on academic status, inbound/outbound travel to and from appointment site, and travel reimbursements for occasional off-site meetings.
The DoE Intern Program allows students taking at least a half-time course load in an accredited high school, home schooling program, technical school, vocational school, two- or four- year college or university, or graduate or professional school to be part of a cooperative-learning environment. The program offers flexible work schedules, competitive pay, and the ability to gain experience while still completing academic pursuits.
