Energy Student Ambassadors

Energy Student Ambassadors represent the Department of Energy (DoE) on college campuses across the U.S. Ambassadors increase awareness, knowledge, and interest in the DoE’s mission and its career and educational opportunities. Students gain networking opportunities, along with resume building, leadership, and professional opportunities. Total monetary compensation can be $3,000 for the academic year, with up to $1,000 in competitive performance incentives.

Minority Educational Institution Student Partnership Program

The Minority Educational Institution Student Partnership Program offers talented undergraduate and graduate students summer internship positions with the U.S. Department of Energy and its national laboratories. Positions involve scientific research or a focus on policy, business, and government relations. All internships include paid lodging, round trip airfare, and monetary compensation.

DoE Scholars Program

The DoE Scholars Program provides opportunities for college students and recent graduates to gain first-hand experience and training in the fields of science, engineering, technology, and related professions that support the mission of the DoE. These positions are typically short-term. The program offers scholars career possibilities, opportunities to learn from top scientists and subject matter experts, stipends of up to $650 per week depending on academic status, inbound/outbound travel to and from appointment site, and travel reimbursements for occasional off-site meetings.
