What will engineering create in the next 50 years? See what others have dreamed up, and vote for your favorite, to win the National Academy of Engineering’s E4U Video Contest People’s Choice Award.

The video contest is in honor of the academy’s 50th anniversary, and garnered over 600 entries — 15 of which are up for the voter-based award. Above is one of the leading candidates for the award so far, titled “The Future is Boundless.”

The People’s Choice Award winner will be determined by the number of “likes” a video receives up to September 1, 2014 at 12:00 PM EDT. The video that receives the most “likes” during this time period will be awarded a $5,000 prize. All winning videos (including People’s Choice Award, Best Overall, and Category winners) will be announced by the end of September 2014, and will be featured on the NAE website as well as shown at the NAE 50th Anniversary celebration during the 2014 NAE Annual Meeting in Washington, DC.
